With the support of the Safe and Peaceful Chicago initiative, our association is proud to host for the 3rd year, the outdoor employment fair here in Englewood, Jobs on the Block, Wednesday, August 21st. Several employers and community resources will come to the 700 West Block of 66th Place (right off Halsted) for the outdoor hiring event from 10am – 2pm.

There will be over 25 employers on site from companies including Starbucks, FedEx, Amazon, UPS, AT&T, and so much more! All participating employers will have current open positions and many of the employers will hire individuals with criminal backgrounds. We will also have work force resources onsite to help individuals remove any barriers to employment. Serious job seekers should plan to attend, dress professionally, and bring a resume, however, it is not required because volunteers will be ready to help you fine tune your resume and we will have professional attire donated!

Special thanks to our partners of the 7th District CAPS Team, TARGET Area Development, Teamwork Englewood, Growing Home, Inc., Safer Foundation, IMAN (Inner-City Muslim Action Network), READI/ Heartland Alliance, Center of New Horizons, Bright Community Services, Tina’s Treasures, and Englewood QLP’s Public Safety and Jobs & Economic Taskforce.
If you are interested in volunteering to set-up, check individuals in, distribute donated professional attire, or serve food to our employers and resource providers, contact RAGE at joinrage@gmail.com.
Good afternoon,
This is very exciting! Are you allowing any schools to register for a table as well? I am an admissions representative and corporate liaison for Indiana Tech and we have partnerships with several of the employers that you have mentioned.
Thank you,
