Past Work – Green Healthy Neighborhood Land Use/Large Lot Program
The City of Chicago, CMAP, its partners, and the residents and business owners of Greater Englewood (Englewood and West Englewood), Washington Park, Woodlawn, the southern half of New City, and parts of Fuller Park, Grand Boulevard, and Greater Grand Crossing are engaging in the Green Health Neighborhoods (GHN)Land Use Plan. R.A.G.E mobilized community members to survey neighbors in order to collect information from 60 interested parties who are interest in the Green Healthy Neighborhood Large Lot Program. A program that will allow residents to purchase city-owned lots for $1 on their blocks. This project will result in plans and policies that will guide decision-making and investments for years to come in these community areas.
