UNA-Chicago will recognize the work of our President, Asiaha Butler and other local individuals or organizations who are working to uphold the principles of the 17 UN Global Goals through their daily efforts or business operations. Asiaha was nominated because of her extraordinary leadership and efforts in support of Global Goal #16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
The UN Day Event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 24th, and will be hosted by the United Nations Association-Greater Chicago Chapter and GEMS World Academy. Attendees will celebrate the work that the United Nations to help improve the world, through the lens of linking global issues with those concerning the greater Chicagoland community.
