R.A.G.E. is always working to unite Englewood residents, stakeholders and supporters to transform our neighborhood to be truly a Greater Englewood. This Saturday, August 5th, R.A.G.E. needs your help to continue this work by Building on the Block and bringing Peace to the Parks. We have two volunteer opportunities for the early birds and late risers to come out and make a difference. One of the greatest gifts you can give is your time and our association would greatly appreciate your support.
Chicago Cares Project – Building on the Block
The Resident Association of Greater Englewood is proud to announce a new partnership with Chicago Cares! This partnership will help beautify the vacant lot next to our headquarters. We need volunteers to assist with this 7 week project on various Saturdays starting August 5th from 9am-11am! Work will include light construction, painting rooms, creating murals, and other miscellaneous tasks. By doing this volunteers will be helping RAGE build out a space where they can break down barriers in communication and promote positivity through solution-based approaches. If you are interested in helping out register HERE.
So Fresh Saturday – Ogden Park
It takes great people to bring peace to the parks in Englewood! Join the R.A.G.E. team as we take over Ogden Park– 6500 S. Racine – on August 5th from 3pm-7pm. There will be FREE Food, Live Performances, Art, a Resource Fair and more! Volunteers are needed to manage the RAGE table, serve food, monitor youth activities, and help out with small tasks onsite. All we ask is that you devote at least an hour or so of your time to volunteer at this event. Just meet us at Ogden Park on Saturday, August 5th starting at 3pm.
