STAND UP FOR PUBLIC SAFETY – Wednesday, February 22nd!
The Englewood Quality of Life Plan’s Public Safety Task Force is calling all passionate residents and stakeholders to stand up for public safety. The task force is having a Meet and Greet this Wednesday, February 22nd from 3pm-4:30pm at Teamwork Englewood – 815 W 63rd Street, 2nd Floor. ALL ARE WELCOME!
The senseless violence in our community is stealing the future of young people and robbing us of our peace of mind. It is our responsibility to find solutions that will protect our children and rebuild the Englewood village.
The Meet and Greet is the perfect opportunity to join a committee that is dedicated to making our community safer. The meeting will discuss in detail the current public safety strategies of the Englewood Quality of Life Plan. It will also allow task force members and participants to collectively decide how to move forward to create a peaceful neighborhood.
The Englewood Quality of Life Plan is a community-authored and driven plan to restore Englewood as one of Chicago’s leading communities. Five task forces were formed to implement the plan by addressing the issue areas deemed most important. The five task forces are: Education and Youth Development; Health and Wellness; Housing; Jobs and Economic Development; and Public Safety.
