After several inquiries about the status of the Englewood CAC….the council is being resurrected!
The next Englewood CAC Meeting is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Ogden Park (65th & Racine).
Several key Englewood stakeholders attended two very productive meetings (February 19 & March 12) and reviewed the previous work, Mission and Vision of the Englewood CAC. At the meetings, there was a healthy discussion about the Englewood educational landscape and about the educational issues impacting Englewood children and families. Parent Engagement and Safety were two areas that surfaced and two areas that still need to be addressed in Englewood.
The CAC is in the process of forming Committees to execute the work of the CAC. Initial Working Committees include: Parent Engagement, Marketing & Communication, Resource Guide, Sponsorship, Organizing/Steering/Rapid Response.
