This summer, the Resident Association of Greater Englewood also known as R.A.G.E. hosted a five park tour in the name of peace throughout the Englewood and West Englewood community. This tour is known as “So Fresh Saturdays” which is a series of gatherings designed to get residents out into their local parks to claim the spaces for family fun in a community most see as a war zone.
With over 300 attendees at each park, R.A.G.E. is excited to host the last one at Hamilton Park located at 513 W. 72nd on Saturday, August 30th from 3pm-8pm. In partnership with the Englewood Community Cultural Planning Council (EC3), the group will distribute back packs, school supplies and FREE books for students in the community. The goal of the So Fresh Saturday series is to reclaim the parks in the Englewood community in the name of peace and to create a fun-filled experience for the whole family. All of the performers who participate deliver an uplifting message that is rooted in community building and a mix of art and activism. Bring the whole family to these fun-filled peaceful events in Englewood!
