No Violence, Just Peace in Englewood – 1 Park Down 4 More to Go! #GoodinEnglewood

R.A.G.E.  kicked off the So Fresh Saturdays’ series at Hermitage Park, June 7th and brought PEACE with them!! From peaceful musical performances, youth dance groups to the art installation that spelled out #GoodinEnglewood! Over 200 attendees with an inter-generational mix of residents from Englewood enjoyed this festive occasion!

Although, there have been numerous shootings in Chicago, So Fresh Saturday continues on with this “take over” with peace in the parks of Englewood. We provide musical entertainment, free food, community resources, and bold messages that resonates with all in attendance.

The message of pride for Englewood as well as reclaiming our parks as a safe space is the theme around this resident driven effort.  R.A.G.E. is enthusiastic about staging these peaceful events throughout the Greater Englewood community and look forward to our upcoming events!

  • Sherwood Park – 5701 S. Shields – Sat. June 21, 2014;  3pm – 8pm
  • Lindblom Park – 6054 S. Damen Ave.  – Sat. July 12, 2014;  3pm – 8pm
  • Ogden Park – 6500 S. Racine – Sat. August 2, 2014;  3pm – 8pm
  • Finale at Hamilton Park – 513 W. 72nd  – Sat. August 30, 2014;  3pm – 8pm
