This summer Demond Drummer, co-founder of RAGE and currently working at Teamwork Englewood will teach 15 local teens how to build and host their very own website from scratch. Participants will learn basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript code to build their sites. They will also learn how to configure a Raspberry Pi – a small $35 computer designed to teach programming – to act as a web server to host their site. The teens will also form small groups to compete in a website makeover competition for a local organization.
At the end of the 10-week project, students will celebrate their accomplishments and showcase their websites to family, friends and project backers at a Demo Day event. This project will only be funded if at least $5,500 is pledged by Saturday May 18th!
