Englewood Education Plan Now Available!

The Greater Englewood Community Action Council is excited to share the Greater Englewood Strategic Educational Plan with all stakeholders of the Greater Englewood Neighborhood!

The vision of the Greater Englewood CAC was to transform the quality of education in our community ensuring all youth have access to high quality educational programs and community resources enabling successful transitions to post-secondary, career development and changing future trajectories. In order to achieve this vision, the Greater Englewood CAC members serve as active advocates for educational improvement and leaders of change throughout our community.

If you are interested in being a part of the implementation team please join the next Englewood Community Action Council meeting, February 2, 2012 at Robeson High School 6835 S. Normal Blvd. from 6pm-8pm or contact Brenda Bell at 773-553-1538 or bjbell1@cps.k12.il.us.

  • Englewood Education Empowerment Summit hosted by the Englewood Community Action Council– January 14, 2012 – 9am-Noon, Wentworth Elementary School, 6950 S. Sangamon
  • Englewood Community Action Council Meeting – February 2, 2012 – 6pm-8pm, Paul Robeson High School, 6835 S. Normal Blvd.
  • Chicago Earn and Learn Parent Conference hosted by Urban Family Engagement Initiative of the National PTA, Illinois PTA, Black Star Community PTA – February 18, 2012 – 9am-3pm, UIC Behavioral Science Building  1007 W Harrison St.
