The Black Star Community PTA (BSCPTA) is coming to your neighborhood! Join the BSCPTA for a special event Saturday, November 12th 9:30am-Noon – Thurgood Marshall Library 7506 S. Racine Ave. During this special meeting the following topics will be discussed:
- Strengthening the Voice of Parents through Community PTAs
- Englewood Community Action Council Educational Plan
- National PTA’s Urban Family Engagement Initiative
- Dora’s Beyond the Backpack Checklist
Immediately following the meeting we will host a fun Urban Family Engagement Initiative (UFEI) Leading with Literacy Family Event “SAY IT OUT LOUD! I Read and I’m Proud.” Guest readers will be on site and local families with students PK-3rd grade are encouraged to attend! We are proud to give away over 75 books to families and students! Bring the whole family to this must attend event!!!
