All are advised that there will be a public meeting regarding the proposed closure of the Englewood station, this Saturday, October 22nd, at the 7th District Police Station, 1438 West 63rd Street, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Postal Service sent out surveys announcing its interest in knowing your feelings on the matter. Bear in mind that, before any community was ever incorporated as a village or town, it struggled to get a postal station so as to give the community at least a token, official designation. When a postal station is shut down it says, symbolically, that the community it served no longer exists. Make sure you fill out your surveys and attend the meeting this Saturday to let your voice be heard!
Thank you!
