After the regular business, Ms Lisa T. Bennett, the Community Outreach Liaison for Lisa Madigan, Attorney General of Illinois, will give a presentation on foreclosure prevention as well as foreclosure prevention scams.

Bernard Place has been very fortunate.  A sixty-five home, New Homes for Chicago development that is about eight years old, only a handful of homes went into foreclosure and that is over an eight year period.  The bad news is, the Great Recession has been with us since October of 2008.  Seemingly safe positions in the commercial, financial and even government sectors are no longer so certain, and there are few openings.  Job openings are tight and so is credit.  The Next Wave of foreclosures is coming and you should be prepared.

If foreclosure becomes a possibility for you, consider starting with the Illinois Attorney General’s office, and this next CAPS meeting will show you why.
